Research costs money. Apart from researchers’ salaries and volunteers’ expenses, money is needed to file for permissions for research projects with government institutions and publishing an article in a peer-reviewed journal costs up to several thousand euro’s (or dollars). Up until now we’ve been able to cover these costs ourselves, but all budgets have a limit. That’s why we ask for donations now.
